Denver Post Community believes that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy the arts, especially children. When children are exposed to arts and culture, everyone benefits – students perform better in school and expand their creativity, and arts and cultural organizations engage young people who may one day be their future patrons.
One of the ways the newspapers support these types of programs is with grants made through Denver Post Charities, a McCormick Foundation Fund, to local nonprofit organizations that offer arts and cultural experiences to low-income students. In addition, other grants are made through Denver Post Charities to agencies that serve low-income youth with education and recreation programs, as well as literacy programs for both children and adults.
When you donate to Denver Post Charities, your donation is matched at 50 cents on the dollar by the McCormick Foundation, and 100 percent of all donations, plus the match, are distributed to local nonprofits.
