Nonprofit arts and cultural organizations simply cannot sustain
themselves through tickets sales or admission revenues alone.
We are proud to have a long history of supporting local arts and
cultural organizations through Post-News Charities, a fund of the
McCormick Tribune Foundation. Post-News Charities strives to
make a difference in the lives of low-income children and youth
throughout our community. Grants are made to support programs
for youth at arts and cultural institutions, after-school and tutoring
programs and other community organizations. Funding is also
provided to literacy programs for children and adults.
Agencies supported through Post-News Charities include:
Ballet Nouveau Colorado
Ballet Nouveau’s elementary school partnership program – which
is supported by Post-News Charities – strives to provide enriching
and educational arts experiences through dance for high-risk students
in Adams County. This program brings curricular subjects to
life through dance experiences; nurtures and encourages creative
intellect; and gives students a personal perspective on dance as
well as a relationship with professional artists.

Colorado Symphony Orchestra
As Colorado’s premier and only full-time professional orchestra, the
Colorado Symphony Orchestra embraces a tradition of musical excellence
by presenting a wide variety of symphonic performances
– from classical repertoire to innovative new forms. The Symphony
also offers youth concerts, in-school programs and introductory
programs designed for preschool students. Post-News Charities
supports their outreach to disadvantaged children and families
through concert-based activities and in-school programming.
